The S Walter Strewart Library in East York, Toronto was built in 1960 and is distinctive for being the only circular library of the 99 branches in the Toronto Public Library system. It was reopened on May 28th, 2008 after an almost 2 year renovation that expanded the space and added a new, sympathetically designed entrance that can be seen on the right.

  1. Only the sign outside spoils its elegance! Nice reflections that are framed by beautiful windows!

  2. yes, those ugly boxy signs are outside all the libraries. that is what amalgamation does to a city – we must be the same, whether we fit or not!
