The partly cloudy sky adds a bit of interest to this rooftop view in a typical old house in Brantford. There is something about peaks and dormers and tall chimneys that I find attractive in a house. Notice how these chimneys are attached to the roof?

  1. beautiful soft blue.

  2. Oh, I love the old building! It looks like it’s right out of the 1800s in England! That’s a very pretty pale blue sky, too.

  3. I see the blue sky peeking through . A house like this reminds me of “Jane Eyre” or some of those old Gothic kind of novels I read when young. Seems like there should be a story that goes with it.

  4. I do love those old houses, they’re so much more interesting than most of the ones we have today!! And I also love the peek of blue skies! Terrific capture for the day, Lesley! Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. This looks a bit like our skies these days, mostly grey but a spot of blue coming through now and then. Beautiful brick houses, and interesting angle! Nice!

  6. Ooh, I see the chimneys are attached, and a good thing, too, with the storms Ontario has had this winter.
I love dormer windows, and it’s great to see patches of blue sky after all the grey.
