This house in Westdale is known as the Hambly House and has recently been restored to its original 1939 looks. The stucco has been cleaned and the original casement windows and front door have been restored (not vinyl replacements!) I like the tradtional features of the horizontal lines, the flat roof and the rounded corner.

  1. Oh, that looks very Mediterranean! I especially like the periwinkle colored windows 🙂
Thanks so much for posting to WWDD – have a great week!

  2. Wonderful house, it looks like it should be on a promontory over the sea.

  3. The white and angular home is not always considered stylish. Except that here there are subtle details that are artistic and add a neat style like the arch over the door, the curved overhang over the left side home and the straight yet curvaceous railings over the steps…and I like the original unrestored windows too. Neat find, cool home!

  4. Sort of art deco! Nice find.

  5. Lovely! This is a great example of the architecture of the era. The door mantle stands out in the ‘plainness’ of the rest of the lines. I love it.

  6. Wonderful example of that era! I am so glad to see these restorations done so lovingly.

  7. I really like the windows
    the frames are pretty
and there are some beautiful reflections there

  8. It’s looking nice!

  9. Wow! What a surprise. There is a house in my town that could be this ones twin. But, I wish it would be restored. It is getting a bit seedy. I will have to go get a shot of it.
