industry and refuge
Next door to the Wellington County Museum (see yesterday’s post) is a large barn. The former House of Industry and Refuge operated as a self sufficient industrial farm where the ‘inmates’ (as they were called) took part in the raising of livestock and the growing of crops.

Neat shot, Lesley. I’ve seen that barn. 🙂
Lovely old barn! I like the perspective.
This is a beauty…looks so well taken care of. And built so strong and true. I wish i could go inside.
I love the colour of this barn and interesting to learn of its history. I’ll have to search this one out!
This is one of those one in a million barns…so beautifully kept. Love the paint job. It looks so picturesque sitting there. Lovely capture. Genie
