The weather beacon atop the Canada Life building has been showing weather predictions for 60 years. It is updated four times a day. In this case, the white lights running down indicate that temperatures are falling.

I tried to post this earlier; ;hope they don’t both show up! I really like this tower; I would want to check it several times a day. More pleasant to look at than the Weather Channel too!

First thing that enter mind was that thing has been there for most of my life. Then after reading it’s been there 60 years I realized I have a few years on it. Interesting capture with the fairly young CN Tower:)
the CN Tower will be 35 y/o this year. Both the beacon and the tower have been knocked off their ‘tallest free standing structure’ pedestal. The beacon lost that status in 1962.
