There aren’t many furriers left, and indeed Leon Furs on James St N in Hamilton has been closed for years. But the building and sign are still there, even if the clock is permanently set at the wrong time for most of the day.

Yes, furriers are a dying breed, which is nice from the animals’ point of view for sure, but I like that wonderful old building. Nice of them to leave a yellow sign for you. LOL
Thanks for visiting my blog. I don’t know about the glass sculpture, because I didn’t look for a plaque with a name on it or anything, but if I know anything about China it’s that the Chinese are quite capable of imitating just about anyone. It looks like Chihuly’s work, though, doesn’t it? Interesting question.

Interesting that the sign has stayed up! So I guess even in cold cliimates, furriers are no longer doing any business. I would never wear one because of our casual lifestyle — and not being in cold weather much. So it’s easy for me to be anti-fur!
Funny about the clock — even a stopped one is right a couple of times a day!
Great find for MYM.

Thanks for your comment on my blog.
Actually, my father was mink farmer, but nowadays this is not popular 😉
Kind regards,

hee hee…
A (ahem) timely reminder that even a stopped clock is right twice a day…
