Hamilton’s nickname is Steel Town. Although lately, the steel industry has taken a beating and the iconic steel companies of Dofasco and Stelco have been bought out by AcelarMittel and US Steel respectively. Blue skies with a few clouds are shining on National Steel Car which is still up and running at the moment.

Thanks. It is a wonderful art deco building – not quite what you’d expect!
It looks like the clouds are being sucked in the building.
ah, I hadn’t thought of that!
Beautiful photo of the building and sky above. The architecture is wonderful, even the deco font of the letters.
Thanks for sharing!
yes, the silver letters are wonderful (and so shiny!)
Beautiful composition – thye lines are so strong and so sleek
thank you
It looks so retro! Great shot 😀
I think this may be the offices and am not sure that they are used, so I hope it doesn’t deteriorate
Beautiful capture of the steel sign against the blue sky.
