Canada’s Wonderland, located off Hwy 400 in Maple, opened for the first time on May 23, 1981 and for this season is now open daily until September (though this picture was taken before the flags went up). It was the first major theme park in Canada and has 16 roller coasters and another 60 or so rides to thrill anyone who wishes to be so thrilled.  The sign and logo has changed over the years due to different owners from Paramount and Viacom from 1993 to 2006 and now Cedar Fair. You can see the transformation here. This is by far the most sanitized of the park’s logos. The map link, below, gives you a nice overhead view.
