There are a group of stately old houses non Carlton St in the Cabbagetown area of Toronto that must have been built by the same architect, for they each feature these magnificent doors. These ones, with the blue paint that complement the yellow brick so nicely, shows off the whimsical windows best, I thought. And the green bike adds a bright spot of colour.

  1. Oh, those windows are really cool, I’ve never seen anything like them! And you’re so right about the color scheme, yellow and blue make green, so it’s a perfect composition 🙂 Thanks for sharing this!

  2. whimsical windows – delicious bike.

  3. Beautiful color contrast! And definitely whimsical…windows, bike and all. I love it!

  4. Clever use of the bike to draw our attention to the architecture.

  5. These certainly fit the title of the meme!

  6. I would love to see this/these in person. The bike does add a wonderful touch. But just love those doors…

  7. Lesley…This place is so attractive. Hope it is as cool inside as it is outside. The bike adds that perfect touch to finish off the scene, I have never seen teardrop windows before, but I like them. They have personality.
