cornerstone
There isn’t much listed under ‘history’ in the website for the Melrose United Church. It was built in 1928 as you can see from this cornerstone. The congregation was created with the amalgamation of nearby Charlton Avenue Methodist Church and Westmount Presbyterian Church. I like the sign that looks like a hymnal board.

I really like the style of it too!
A lovely sign. I googled the church. It is a beautiful building.

Lovely sign.
Oh, how nice…and so simplistic.
Nice photo, and you are right about it resembling a hymnal board. Not sure if I would have caught that.
It is the perfect cornerstone for a church.
not only do i like the signage, i like where it was placed too.
the writing is nice, too.
Pretty shot!
Like how the sign is embedded in the wall, as if symbolising how it represents an intrinsic connection. Lovely.
