The Chesley Grocery Store is an independent grocery that has been at this location since 1982, though it has been in operation since 1974. It supports locally grown produce – from beef, pork and turkey to cheese, honey and maple syrup plus many seasonally grown produce from area farmers. It is always a joy to see someplace that is not part of the sameness of a big conglomerate.

  1. What a nice-looking grocery. It would be nice to have something like that near us.

  2. I bet it is just as neat and tidy inside.

  3. A little box store??

  4. how lucky! the only store we have similar to this is uptown where parking is scarce.

  5. It looks very nice and neat.

  6. Love the design of this place enhancing its unique identity in the grocery arena! A great idea to promote local products!

  7. It has a simple name – no confusion about what it might be – especially with that paper bag full of groceries on the front!

  8. Small specialty grocery stores are a blessing and joy. They often lack all the processed and prepackaged foods and have excellent meat, cheese, produce, and baked goods. This one looks good.

  9. as much as i could i’d like to patronize local independent businesses. hope they stay around for a long time.
