A tree branch became entangled with this fence and seems to have left its mark long after the tree was uprooted.

  1. That’s pretty amazing! I wonder how long ago that calamity happened, and which will last longer – the fence or the branch remnant?

That’s a beautiful bunch of ornamental grass behind it, too!

  2. Great eye Lesley to catch this great composition, especially the contrasts of the iron fencing to pale ornamental grass. Glad the fence owners left the tree limb. Sometimes I see fences deliberately built to go around a tree–like that too.

  3. Fabulous photo! Such interesting designs and textures! Poor tree!

  4. An amazing photo. Thanks for sharing.

  5. This is quite remarkable. Nice find!

  6. So I wonder which came first, the tree or the fence? Both look like they’ve been around a while.

  7. So cool…love it

  8. oh wow! i’ve seen trees grow into a fence but never like this! very cool!
