Here is a barn, somewhere outside Orillia, that has its own satellite dish. Maybe the cows like watching HBO?

  2. Your black and white treatment is quite fitting with that dinosaur of a satellite dish. 🙂

  3. Gorgeous, Lesley! Love the black and white!

  4. i’m now picturing the cows drinks beer, eating popcorn & watching the tv set. too funny!! thanks, for the visual. don’t see those dishes much any more. usually they are much smaller these days. (:

  5. haha happy cows! love the b&w on this!

  6. They probably put it on a music channel to relax the cows!!!! It almost looks as if no one loves it.

  7. hahah…I love it!

  8. Great black and white photo.

    Regards and best wishes

  9. Great barn! Funny combination!

  10. Fun shot! I wonder if that was the only spot on the farm that they could get a good signal on that dish.

  11. Nah, we’ve got one of those in our pasture next to our house. A reminder of times gone by when my dad thought he would be able to watch all the wrestling in the world via satellite. Getting them removed is the biggest problem these days. Even with the price of metal at the salvage yards, it takes a welder with a cutting torch and a tractor to get these guys out of the ground. So our environment is stuck with them for the next couple of centuries!

  12. The discourse was humourous until I read Kathy’s thoroughly reasonable but sad comment. Good shot in monochrome, Lesley.

[I have a sign for your meme, but I am shutting down my PC now to leave Manila for China. If you’d like to link it, it’s here: http://viewthrumygloballens.blogspot.com/2012/03/lucky-entrance.html. I’ll catch up when I get back online in a day or two.]

  13. Awesome barn, esp in b&w, very dramatic! =)

    Thanks for joining =)

  14. Now that’s a representation of ‘old’ and ‘new’ isn’t it? Great shot.

Interestingly enough, I saw a super huge satellite dish while driving rural the other day. It looked more like something that should be staked out at NASA instead of next to a house. lol
