A white cottage style house during a snowfall. Seeing the smoke from the chimney, I am imagining a roaring fire inside. With today’s warm temperatures, this will all be melted and muddy. Taken the same day as this photo.

  1. Enjoy the snowy beauty while it lasts! We’ve just been through the melting, watery, muddy part here in Seattle! Love your capture for the day! Hope your week is going well, Lesley!

  2. Oh! this is truly a winter wonderland – just perfect for a greeting card. I love how the twirl of smoke from the chimmney adds a touch of warmth to the capture … delightful!

  3. gorgeous capture. i want to be there right now.

    Happy Watery Wednesday

  4. I just love a cozy cottage in the snow! This photo is especially pretty. I can almost smell the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the kitchen, and like you I absolutely imagine a lovely fire in the fireplace.

We haven’t really had a winter here ~ just mud and water and ice. Yuk. Everything looks dirty and the temps feel like April. That’s just wrong! So this cottage looked especially inviting to me.

  5. What a pretty post card photograph.

  6. What a terrific capture. Falling snow and hints of cosiness inside the cabin, mmmm! Lovely winter thoughts.

  7. What a gorgeous scene….with the snow falling there always seems to be a ‘hush’ all over the landscape.

My Wednesday post: FROM A DISTANCE Hope you can find time to drop by to visit with me.

  8. Very nice snowy photo. Keep on clicking.

  9. A pretty shot, but what makes it scream “home” is the smoke coming out of the chimney. Coziness captured perfectly.

  10. Before I even read your caption/title, I was thinking :Winter Wonderland.” What an awesome capture. It reminds me of just how gorgeous a good snow can be before it get all dirty and yucky. The little cottage is precious. What a nice place to live. genie

  11. Oh that is so pretty, but I’m glad it’s not here! πŸ˜‰

  12. Snow can be so beautiful! Lovely shot!

  13. Looks so cozy πŸ™‚

  14. Now that’s what winter should really look like! How did you capture the falling snow–special settings? I haven’t been very successful with that–just lots of white mist. These cottage-style houses are a favorite and I love how you’ve “found” little punches of color in the snow–the green box/bin on porch, smoke coming out chimney.

  15. This took my breath away!
