A rather nice looking yellow brick farmhouse accompanies this barn. Seen on Hwy 6 just outside Guelph.

  1. Lovely shot. The house so bright in color and the barn so new and dull!

  2. Love the colorful house and there is quite a difference in it and the barn! Terrific capture for the day, Lesley! Hope you have a great week!

  3. This is such a beautiful house, and well preserved. There was a house similar to this on Highway 10, just off Highway 99, on my commute to Vancouver, and it was allowed to disintegrate. It hurt to watch the process.
This is a lovely photo, and it makes me happy to look at it.

  5. i LOVE it!!….and the house is gorgeous!!

  6. It looks like a gingerbread house! Obviously there is some real age involved in both the house and the barn! Great image.

  7. wow! that house doesn’t really go with the barns and vice versa. altho individually, they’re really nice!

  8. I bet the house and barn have both been around for a while…maybe even in the the same family for several generations.

  9. I like the barn complex, but I adore the house. It is a beauty…old and well cared for. I find the pain job very appealing to my eye. Lovely selection this week. genie

  14. Indeed a fine farmstead! It brought back memories of «Louis’» paternal grandparents’ farm in the Texas panhandle.

  15. the house is beautiful! i love the huge lawn!

  16. Unusual style – but especially the silo covers (if that’s what they are!) I haven’t seen anything like that downunder in OZ!

  23. I’m not partial to the yellow on this brick house, but still it has a cozy look. This looks like a successful farmstead.

  24. The house looks rather transplanted from the north east of France, but the barn seems all Canadian.

  25. I like the barn, but I love that Victorian house! Would love to see inside.

    Great shot. 🙂
