A modern home in Don Mills. This one sits on the edge of a ravine. I can’t quite imagine the layout inside, but those northwest facing windows on the ground floor must bring in a lot of late afternoon light!

  1. I cannot imagine this being MY dream home. Hmmm.

  2. Interesting, modern home! Hope you have a great week, Lesley!

  3. I see clouds reflected in the upper windows and tree branches at a window over the lovely wooden door. This home seems to overlook a pleasing view and is likely equally sweet within.

  4. The windows are also great for reflections, as I see my friend Penelope has already noted.
Perhaps the house is occupied by artists, who like to have light from the north.

  5. I like the big wide door and the big windows that you point out.

  6. I also cant imagine myself owning a house at the edge of the ravine. Here in Southern California, where there are heavy torrential rains, that would be a problem.

I am debating whether I want an afternoon sun or morning….

  7. having a house at the edge of a ravine is not a good idea around here. i don’t want to see my dream house crashing down with the landslide, or an earthquake.:p but getting lots of natural light is the best.

  8. A most unusual design! The windows seem glazed to reduce glare but maximise the light! I just wonder about cold days and heating bills with so much glass!

  9. Hi there – its a bit of a modernist box from the outside – but I bet its bright inside!

  10. Dream house is a nice name.

  11. Looks very modern. I like the character of your previous photo/house more.

  12. I like the windows, but would rather have them southwest facing. 🙂

  13. Ok, the first one in your series that wouldn’t go on mine in my wildest dreams. The sunshine would be good though.

  14. My dream house would be built of stone, and I’d like a room with a window facing west so that I could watch the sun go down every evening, and a turret room with windows all round. I would also like a bedroom with a window facing east and with a view clear of wires, poles and trees, so I could watch the sun rise and take photo’s. the alternative right now – running 1/2 mile up a country lane in my nightdress is not a good idea!
