This 1920s fourplex house in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto is typical of the area. The doors are in the centre of the building with stairs running to the upstairs flat from the small square hall. Each apartment has two bedrooms and there is a secondary entrance and staircase halfway down the length of the building between the kitchen and bedrooms. This particular model, with the beautiful curb appeal, seems to have had an owner who loves the architecture and his property. Another view of this house style, on a different street, can be seen here.

A fine old home with character lacking in modern milquetoast homes.
That’s a charming house. Wonderful photograph of it.
Sounds (and looks!) like it’s big enough to house a small country!!
That is a great house. We lived in a beautiful duplex in Montreal but this is quite another matter. Great to see the house so well kept.
What a great-looking building.
