There aren’t many fancily decorated screen doors left but these people obviously recognize something unique in this one and have kept it even though the rest of the house has been renovated and updated. Another example from the same neighbourhood can be seen here.

  1. That is different nice shot thanks for stopping by my blog.

  2. Awesome door. We had a door with the swirls of metal on it when I was growing up; but, we didn’t have the dancing deer to dress it up. It was kind of plain. Love this door and photo. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love the door
and the way you shot the entire entrance is so pretty

  4. Ah yes, I remember the screen doors with the “curly bits” decorating them, and sometimes the first initial of the homeowner’s last name, too. But it hadn’t occurred to me that I haven’t seen screen doors like that in years, and I’ve never seen any as ornate as this beauty (or the one of St. Francis that you linked to!) I’m glad to see people hanging onto those, they’re quite lovely!

  5. a reindeer reminds me of Christmas.:p
    an interesting door screen, indeed.

  6. Oh I remember when those were THE thing to have. This one is pretty — I’d want to keep it too.

  7. I like this one best, would like it on my frontdoor 😀
