The recently transformed Shaw residence, on Islington Ave in Kleinburg, is now the new home to an old fashion style Barber Shop. Frank the barber is always there, ready to give you the style and cut you deserve with a warm atmosphere and great conversation. Sadly, he was closed the day I stopped by.

  1. Oh, dear I hope you were not badly in need of a haircut!

  2. Always there except when he isn’t huh?

  3. I prefer these shops over the mall ones.

  4. love the old fashioned sign.

  5. Nice to see the old-fashioned barber pole!

  6. O how attractively presented! Lots of olde worlde charm!

  7. That’s a cute little barber pole.

  8. What a shame. I’d like to hear his conversation and wonder if he would be like Floyd (in Mayberry).

  9. what a charming barber shop! oh, i’ve been wondering about that blue/white/red light by the door—why do barber shops have that?

  10. A very cute and quaint sign!

Caribana is now called “Caribbean Carnival”. It was hot… and crowded. Seeing it once will probably be good enough for me. 😉

  11. It looks a welcoming place, even a chair outside to take in the sunshine.

  12. Cool house and nice green.:)

  13. Our little town only has a barber just a day or two a week….now I cut my husband’s hair. Good thing he is almost bald…so don’t have a lot to show my mistakes.
