One of the more recognizable bridges in Ottawa is the Laurier Avenue bridge. Built in 1900, under the green arch over the Rideau River is the site of many of the Winterlude events. The water level is still low as the canal is drained in the winter to prevent flooding.

  1. It reminds me of the Los Angeles river yes, Los Angeles has a river). Except during periods of rain, the LA river is just a trickle, surrounded by concrete.
