Meet the gargoyles on the Clock Tower of Old City Hall in Toronto. The clock face is 6 metres across and the tower is 106 metres tall. The gargoyles were removed from the clock tower in 1939 after one of them crashed into the roof below. Bronze replicas were made to replaced them for the clock’s restoration in 2005.

Beautiful shot.
Terrific capture, Lesley! Have a great week!

Nothing like an attack by gargoyles from 100 meters up to ruin your day (and roof)! Thank for your comment on our cats – Zoey does usually sleep at Marianne’s feet.
I like seeing the gargoyles, but would not live in a building that has gargoyles.
beautiful detail photo, nice sky as background
Have a nice week,
Greetings, Bram

What a surprise to see gargoyles on the tower. So I had good look at your photo for the Hunchback. It must have been his day off. Keep on clicking!
He may have been inside at court fighting some charge?
Marvelous photo of the gargoyles, windows and clock!
Delighted to make their acquaintance! (I love them.)
That is a fantastic shot. So clean and linear. And then there is the gargoyles! Love them!
I hope I don’t forget about Signs this week. The hardest thing about joining a new meme is to remember when to post to it! 🙂

Nice capture! We could use some of those blue skies here in Long Island!
