A window view to the demolition of the south side of Colborne St in Brantford. The buildings demolished were 140 pre-confederate buildings that had been allowed to decay. Now these office windows have an unobstructed view and lots of afternoon sunlight.

  1. And that’s a good thing!! Great shot and I love seeing the lovely skies they will have access to now! Great post and photo, Lesley! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Too bad about the old buildings, I think. So much character is lost when we let the old decay.

  3. Thanks for adding your view of the sky to the party at Sky Watch Friday.

  4. The sky is a much better view.

  5. It is almost like they left the tagged section of the wall standing as art. Must be nice for the office-dwellers to have more light now.

  6. Hi Lesley, I see some mural paintings on the old wall. I have been interested in art and murals and I have been taking some photos around downtown Los Angeles Art District.

  7. I really like the texture blends in this photo.

  8. Interesting shot and the light gainc an’t be bad. I only hope for the neighbors that they will soon clear the rubbles.

  9. Wow! Terrific capture. When I first saw this photo, I thought it was an explosion:)
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

  10. The tear down of the old wall/building is nice for the high rise! Enjoy your weekend:)

    • there is much more sky than there would have been a month before this shot was taken!
and I rather liked the line of clouds that mimicked the bridge.

  12. Nice composition here…
