The windows of this house in Southampton may be ordinary, but the gingerbread details and that wrap around balcony make for delightful curb appeal.

  1. This is a very attractive example of gingerbread, Lesley – one of the nicest I have ever seen!

  3. lovely architecture!

  4. I’m normally not fond of “sweet” in architecture, but here it works. I’ll have to post similar styling from here in the Philippines one of these days.

  5. I love the gingerbread, but also the fact that the verandah is on two sides of the house!

  6. This is such a beautiful home! I don’t think I’ve ever seen cut-out gingerbread before. I especially love those rosette designs in the gable peaks. I love and admire these Victorian and Painted Lady houses, but I’d rather admire them from outside than live in one – they’d be the devil to maintain!
