The sign on this church building says United Mennonite Ch AD 1875. What is now known as the Missionary Church has been over the years affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren (until 1947) then the United Missionary and since 1993, the Evangelical Missionary. They still own this building on Gustavus Street in Port Elgin though it also uses what was formerly the arena directly adjacent on Green Street as a community centre.
