Mural at the corner of Queen St E and Wineva in The Beaches neighbourhood celebrates the old Scarboro Amusement Park that provided lakeside entertainment for the good people of Toronto from about 1907 to the mid 1920s. Now only a small portion of the land is devoted to a beach and boardwalk.

I like the contrast of the dark tree against the muted pastels.
I rather like that, too. though it seems a shame it is so close to the wall and blocks the mural in summer.
Beautiful mural! the lake and surroundings should have been kept that way…
Happy MYM!
even back in then, the developers were eyeing the land with dollar signs in their eyes.
For a few seconds I thoughts, that’s odd for a black tree in the middle of winter mural… but then of course it wasn’t part of the artwork… Great capture!
The tree does add a bit of stark reality to the shot, I thought
I love well-done public murals, and this one has a mellow retro feel to it. Nice.
Don’t you love the 1920s bathing suits!
